Zoe-perry
Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback), her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Because of their fear of stress, the parents didn't want to see the actress pursue acting until she reached the age of age 18. Perry claimed that she was timid to perform in high school but began doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring to the university from Boston University. Perry left for New York, where she got small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Homesickness then brought Perry back to California and theater roles were in demand. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry starred in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's show The Family. Her father played her on the ABC Drama Scandal. In the same year, she appeared as a younger version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a younger version. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite being connected to this role.
